I carried that lesson with me when I became the President of a large college ministry. Now, as I wrap up my Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) in Strategic Management, I'm fascinated by how the research is finally proving what I learned in the trenches: the most effective, profitable, and sustainable way to lead is to put your people first.
